Our Story...

Pho 92 has been serving up fantastic Vietnamese fare in Littleton area since 2012. Owner and Operator, Loan Kim Tran was born in Bac Lieu, Vietnam in 1970 and was raised by a dedicated Father who worked for the US Army. With hard work, dedication and overcoming more than a few obstacles, the family immigrated to the United States in 1992 to pursue the American Dream.

In the early years, the US was very big and intimidating and speaking only Vietnamese presented several challenges. This only fueled Loan’s passion to succeed and make the best of the opportunities her Father had worked so hard to provide them. Schooling was not an option at the time and Loan quickly joined the workforce. She learned English and took positions as a seamstress where she eventually honed her skills well enough to begin her own home business. She began to prosper and was blessed with three beautiful children: Andy Loung in 1996, Ana Loung in 1999 and Brandon Nguyen 2003. It was after Brandon’s birth that she would face the most pivotal challenges in her life. Those same challenges would ultimately shape the creation and success of Pho 92 as we know it today.

It all changed when...

...her youngest son, Brandon,  contracted an illness at the age of 14 months and resulted in permanent brain damage. Brandon was facing a life of blindness and an inability to speak. Loan found herself bouncing back and forth between hospitals and questioning why God had afflicted her youngest son with such a terrible tragedy. Her faith never faltered and she worked tirelessly to support her family and her ill child. When Brandon turned 5, she made the choice to move the family to Littleton, CO, where there was only 1 of 2 schools that had the facilities and training necessary to care for her young boy.

As time went by...

... she knew she couldn't depend on her home business forever and had always had a passion for traditional Vietnamese cooking. Pho was somewhat of a foreign concept at the time and was not very well known. In the same brave and entrepreneurial spirit that brought she and her family to the US in 1992, she opened the restaurant on May 17th, 2012. Reaction and clientele came slowly when they first opened as no one knew much about the flavorful world of Pho. The process of owning and operating a restaurant was time consuming and energy intensive but with the help from an extremely supportive family, Loan pushed forward and her restaurant dreams became reality.

And since then...

...Pho 92 has become a staple in the South Littleton landscape, providing fresh and traditional Vietnamese fare in a welcoming, family oriented environment. Patrons and friends come from miles around to sample the many Pho and specialty menu items available (the Pho broth itself is worth the trip!). On any given day you can catch her in the kitchen helping a family member, concocting a delicious Boba tea or table side, discussing the latest community topic with her beloved guests.
